photo of the week
Every week I'm on the road I choose a photo of the week. Sometimes it's a fantastic photo, other times it's all about what that shot meant to me. Be sure to let me know what you think.
I have some great Photo's from Memphis but I just can't go past a Graceland this week. The house itself isn't outstanding, although the jungle room is something to be seen, however the sheer weight of Elvis's success is overwhelming. There are more silver, gold and platinum records than you can point a stick at and here's an astounding fact for you: More Americans watched "Elvis - Aloha from Hawaii" than watched man walk on the moon. YES - can you imagine that?? So this week I just couldn't go past one wall (of many) in the record room at Graceland. Elvis Lives!
Quite accidentally I ended up in Nashville for the start of country music week. It was crazy busy and while I didn't really love the Honky Tonk bars on Broadway (they seemed just too manufactured to me) I did open mike night at the Bluebird Cafe which was spectular and also got a ticket for the Grand Ole Opry on opening night for CMA week. Some amazing acts but what I really loved was Chris Jenson. While I'm not a huge country fan he was so energetic, his music you just can't help but jig to and he can belt it out on that harmonica. This weeks Photo of The Week is this little video of him showing his stuff.
Jenny - photography lover but someone who hates lugging around HUGE camera's so my images are all from my Olympus OMD or my little Sony digital.
