photo of the week
Every week I'm on the road I choose a photo of the week. Sometimes it's a fantastic photo, other times it's all about what that shot meant to me. Be sure to let me know what you think.
Sometimes in the midst of all the craziness, mother nature just blows our mind. This was (obviously) Coachella Weekend 2 - 2016. It was the Friday evening and on the way to the bathroom I spotted this sky. After taking a couple of photos I was just standing there looking up in awe and then when I went to walk off, looking around, others were wondering what I was looking at and also stopped to admire this amazing pink sky. People were just looking up and smiling. A great moment.
The waterfront in Toronto borders Lake Ontario of course. This spot was around 500 square metres all with Adirondack chairs and shade umbrella's for the public to use. Toronto was 22 degrees the day I arrived and kept up the spectacular weather the entire time I was there. After 4 months of winter it was delightful!
Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo-Jump is a First Nation site about 2 hours south of Calgary. Its is AMAZING. The story is very emotional and I was lucky enough to have Little Leaf all to myself to hear the stories from a First Nation perspective. This is the plains below the jump. After you've done the centre and been out to the top side of the cliff, you can stand down here and almost feel the thunder of the buffalo. It is one of the best indigenous centers I've ever seen. Go - its really worth the drive.
Jenny - photography lover but someone who hates lugging around HUGE camera's so my images are all from my Olympus OMD or my little Sony digital.
