photo of the week
Every week I'm on the road I choose a photo of the week. Sometimes it's a fantastic photo, other times it's all about what that shot meant to me. Be sure to let me know what you think.
I'd had a pretty crap week this week. My bag got stolen in Nagano which cost me probably around $2000 (my rail pass was in there!) and so I got up really early heading out to Arashiyama hoping to get a photo of the bamboo path before the hoards got there - and guess what? The photo gods decided to make up for my rubbish week and gave me this gem.
I had to clip a few short video's together and I also had to put some music to it because lets just say a few people in our boat were talking crap - BUT: We got to see this HUGE male orangutan making his nest for the night. Don't beleive many people get to see this in the wild. So amazing and even our guides were stunned we got to witness this amazing act. We were in the canoe on the river so the video rocks and the quality is crap but just check this fella out. So amazing. Wait for him to plonk down once he's done.
Jenny - photography lover but someone who hates lugging around HUGE camera's so my images are all from my Olympus OMD or my little Sony digital.
