30 Second Advice – No 5 Beware Your Phone Pin

30 Second Advice No 5: Beware Your Phone Pin!

Please, never use the same pin for your phone unlock screen as your bank card pin.

I know it is easy to remember but it could also be the dumbest thing you ever do. A friend got held up once while on a minibus and the robbers confiscated all their phones and then made the owners tell them what the pin codes were. They recorded all of them and of course everyone thought it was so they could wipe the phone and resell it, BUT they used those same pins to try the bank cards of the people they had robbed and got away with thousands before the cards were cut off. It's just not smart. Stop it now!
